As an update to this . I can now report that a CD player is $9.97 at WalMart. This is several dollars lower than the cost of a new CD. Ok. Lets say the Chinese child slave labor that puts this together is paid $0 and the people working at walmart are paid $0. Even then, $9.97 for something that has a laser in it is quite impressive.
